Clean and Green

Did you know that there is an estimated 2.6 million bars of soap discarded by U.S. hotels EVERY DAY? Where does this soap go? The majority of it ends up in a landfill, while children in developing countries die of diseases that could have been prevented with proper hygiene and hand-washing. Yet, millions of children do not have access to soap.
The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that diarrheal infections claim the lives of 1.87 million children under five each year, making diarrheal disease the second leading cause of death among children under five. One cause of the spread of diarrheal disease is poor personal hygiene. It’s amazing to think that lives can be saved simply by providing soap for children to wash their hands.
By partnering with Clean The World or the Global Soap Project, hotels can reduce waste and save lives. Consider being part of this movement!
