Paparazzi Restaurant Named No. 6 Italian Restaurant in L.A.
Congratulations to the Sheraton Gateway Hotel and Paparazzi Ristorante, which has just been named the No. 6 Italian Restaurant in Los Angeles by Gayot, which has reviewed restaurants around the world since 1969.
Headlined by Executive Chef Orazio Parisi, Paparazzi's simple Southern Italian cuisine inspires the senses as old world Italian meets contemporary cuisine. Savor fresh pasta and a wide variety of authentic sauces, as well as artistically prepared seafood, poultry, and world-class steaks.
Gayot said the restaurant serves, “elegant Italian cuisine” and praised Chef Parisi.
“Chef Orazio Parisi was born and raised in Sicily, and even though the venue is part of a large hotel chain, he is free to source the products he desires for his menu, therefore ensuring quality and freshness,” said the Gayot review, which encouraged diner to try some unique dishes.
“Start with the classic burrata cheese and tomato salad, enhanced with frisée, watercress and saba (syrup made from grape must). The eggplant Parmigiana is a homey recipe from his grandmother. Parisi has completely revisited tuna tartare with a blood orange vinaigrette and the addition of an artichoke purée, haricots verts and celery. Pizzas are fun but the lasagna stuffed with slow-braised boneless short ribs, ricotta, organic spinach and Parmesan in a béchamel sauce is a must.”
Congratulations to Chef Parisi and the entire Paparazzi team.
