Airport Metro Connector (AMC)

Anticipated Completion Date: 2023

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro), in cooperation with the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), is studying a light rail connection to the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). This connection would be achieved by creating a station at 96th Street and Aviation Boulevard to serve both Metro's Crenshaw Line and LAWA's Automated People Mover (APM) system. The APM will take Metro light rail passengers to the Central Terminal Area of LAX.

The AMC project is still in the planning phases and involves direct coordination with LAWA's APM alignment.
