New GMs Take Over Local Hotels

Renaissance Los Angeles Airport Hotel has announced that Geoff Hatler has accepted the position of General Manager.

Over the span of his 34-year hospitality career, Geoff has held multiple leadership roles as an Executive Leader at The Westin Seattle and Sheraton Grand Sacramento as well as in Operations Leadership roles at The Westin Los Angeles Airport, Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Airport and Sheraton Universal Hotel. 

Under his leadership at The Westin Seattle, Geoff has championed several key initiatives:  Six Sigma Black Belt, Sustainability Champion, RD1 Change Crew Champion, BLT Hotel & Market Champion, Host Hotels & Resorts Insigniam Champion, and he led the recent lobby renovation which included a new bar concept. His business acumen, passion for the brand activation, leading change and enhancing the guest and associate experience have truly helped The Westin Seattle team elevate, thrive, and work well.

Geoff earned a bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from California State Polytechnic University (Cal Poly Pomona) with minors in BA and Marketing, participated in a F&B Management Internship at The Westin Resort, Vail, Colorado and earned a Strategic Leadership for the Hospitality Professional Certificate at Cornell.

Born and raised in Southern California area, Alfonso Torres is excited to be the new general manager of the Four Points by Sheraton LAX. He began his hospitality career over 20 years ago, working at the Doubletree by Hilton El Segundo.

“Of my 20-plus years in the hospitality industry, more than 10 years have been dedicated to the LAX market and more than 15 years to airport hotels,” Alfonso said. “I’ve had the pleasure to work with several different brands throughout my career; Choice, La Quinta, Starwood, Hilton, and now Marriott. I have been truly blessed to have worked with so many amazing people and organizations over the course my career.”
